Just let me hear some of that rock 'n' roll music,
Any old way you choose it;
It's got a backbeat, you can't lose it,
Any old way you choose it.
It's gotta be rock 'n' roll music,
If you wanna dance with me,
If you wanna dance with me.
In case you're wondering, I'm referring to Chuck Berry's song, Rock and Roll Music (and no, I'm not referring to The Beatles cover).
That's right!
I'm going "back to the source" – in every sense of the term. The source that drives me to do what I do. And the source that has given us rock 'n' roll.
So, keep the beat in mind and read on...
It's been a while since you heard from me,
Coz I've been working on the GDG;
That's my book I'm talking about,
The best decision, without a doubt.Writing the book has been so much fun,
It transformed my outlook on content creation;
Took me deep into the topics I’ve always wanted to cover,
But in the blog or newsletter format, I would never.I have never felt calmer,
And I’ve created my best work ever;
I don't like to tout,
But do check it out;
And if you have any doubt,
Just give me a shout!

So, last week, I sent out the first draft of Chapter 5 of the book which concludes all the topics and the technicalities I wanted to cover. So basically, the book is pretty much complete.
Yes, you read that right!
I’ve spent exactly 6 months on this project and it was been equal parts painful and gratifying. But more importantly, it has completely transformed my outlook on content creation.
I’ve never enjoyed the process more and have never felt calmer. And I know that I’ve created my best work ever.
Writing in the book format enabled me to go deep into the topics I’ve always wanted to write about but never could in the blog/newsletter format. Also, going deep has reinforced my own understanding of those topics.
I’ve completely stopped worrying about vanity metrics and I’ve stopped publishing for the sake of consistency.
I’m now working on editing the book and hope to self-publish a paperback version later this year. At the same time, I’ll be sending out actionable lessons from the book to paid subscribers.
There's also a lot going on behind the scenes...
